WARNING
- Never allow passengers to sit on folded seatbacks or remain in the cargo area of the Subaru Ascent, as this can lead to serious injury or death.
- Secure long items such as skis or equipment properly to prevent them from moving freely and causing injury during sudden stops or maneuvers.
- After returning the seatback to its upright position, gently shake it to confirm that it is securely locked. If not properly secured, it may collapse during braking or allow cargo to shift forward.
- Ensure all seatbelts and seatbelt tabs are positioned above the seat cushion and clearly visible before use.
1. Store the seatbelt buckle.

2. Place the window-side seatbelt into the holder to prevent damage during seat folding.
Remove it from the holder before using the seat again.
3. Lower the headrest to its designated storage position.

4. While pulling the straps, fold down the seatbacks.

5. To return the seatbacks to their original upright position, push them up from inside the vehicle or pull the strap from the cargo area. Ensure the seatbacks lock firmly into place before use.
