WARNING
When the daytime running lights of the Subaru Ascent are active, the tail
lights remain off. As ambient light decreases, always switch the light control to
the "
"
position to activate both headlights and tail lights. This significantly improves
visibility and ensures that other drivers can clearly recognize your Subaru Ascent
on the road.
The daytime running light system in the Subaru Ascent is designed to automatically enhance vehicle visibility during daytime driving without requiring driver input. The system will activate when all of the following conditions are met:
- The engine of the Subaru Ascent is running.
- The parking brake is fully released.
- The light control switch is set to "AUTO", "
",
or "OFF" (for Canada models). - The gear selector is not in the "P" (Park) position.
NOTE
When the light switch is set to the "
"
position, additional lighting elements such as instrument panel illumination, front
side marker lights, tail lights, and license plate lights will also be activated
in the Subaru Ascent.
