The Subaru Ascent is equipped with an intelligent battery drainage reduction system designed to automatically switch off interior lighting under certain conditions, helping to prevent unnecessary battery discharge and ensuring long-term reliability.
Battery drainage reduction function for various conditions
In the Subaru Ascent, this function enters a standby mode when the following conditions are met:
- The ignition switch is turned to the "OFF" position (for models with keyless access and push-button start system).
- The key is removed from the ignition cylinder (for models without keyless
access system).
If no further actions are performed within approximately 20 minutes while the Subaru Ascent is in standby mode, any active interior lighting will automatically turn off to conserve battery power.
